Meet the Team
Dr. Laurie Slavik DDS
Dr. Slavik earned her undergraduate degree in Kinesiology from the University Of Wisconsin-Madison while competing on the university's volleyball team. She went on to receive her DDS from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska.
Dr. Slavik is dedicated to attending continuing education courses to stay current on the latest techniques. She is also an adjunct faculty member at Midwestern University Dental School, where she enjoys teaching 1st and 2nd year pre-clinic dental students. Dr. Slavik is passionate about running an exceptional dental practice where the highest quality dental care is provided in a clean, modern, and caring environment.
When not at the office, Dr. Slavik can usually be found cheering on any one of her 3 kids (following in mom's footsteps) in their volleyball matches in high school and college. She and her husband, Ryan, have lived in the Fox Valley area for over 17 years and both grew up in Wheaton. They enjoy skiing, working out, and traveling when they get any free time!
Dee Solon RDH
James Street Dental is lucky enough to have one of the best hygienists around. She takes the time to get to know each patient and listen to their concerns. She loves all aspects of dentistry and overall health and nutrition. Her main focus is to make our patients feel as comfortable as possible, and her years of experience allow her to treat patients with the highest level of care.
Dee is a member of the American Dental Hygiene Association, Chicago Dental Association, Illinois State Dental Society, Fox Valley Dental Hygiene Association and a premier member of OSAP. She has specialized training in infection prevention and multiple dental certifications. Dee is committed to attending continuing education courses, keeping her up to date on the latest advancements in dental hygiene.
Dee enjoys spending time with her husband and two sons. She also likes to spend as much time possible outdoors biking, gardening, and playing with her dog.
